The Fletcher Group earned two accolades on behalf of client Blackhawk Network by the Public Relations Society of America this month. These awards are considered the highest achievement in PR, and only the best communications programs in the industry get recognized.
Out of hundreds of applicants, our entry, titled “Paying it Forward with Gift Cards That Give Back,” won a PRSA Silver Anvil “Award of Excellence” in the Integrated Communications category, which recognizes leadership of PR programs in a creative and effective integrated campaign, along with other marketing or communications activities. The nomination focused on how the PR elements of Blackhawk’s Giving Good Card launch drove awareness and exposure for the newest card launch of Blackhawk’s suite of custom gift cards, and made an impact towards a good cause while doing so.
The Fletcher Group also won an “Award of Commendation” for the PRSA Bronze Anvils for Blackhawk’s Giving Good Card launch. The Bronze Anvils recognize excellence in a particular PR tactic, and we were recognized in the Media Relations category. This year’s competition drew a total of 358 entries. Of those, only 56 organizations were selected by the Bronze Anvil Judges as Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation winners.
