Each year, we are honored to work with our client Donor Alliance to raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation during April, National Donate Life Month. Last year, we worked together to execute a string of highly successful events throughout the month centered around the planting and dedication of trees across Colorado and Wyoming in memory of organ, eye and tissue donors from the region. The tree planting events left positive and lasting benefits in the communities that participated, and a physical reminder of the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. Additionally, the tree dedications were powerful in physically demonstrating and symbolizing the gift of life and made for impactful visuals for media.

Also, in advance of National Blue and Green Day, (April 15,) we sent broadcast media anchors throughout the states blue and green ties and scarves to be worn in their communities and on-air on National Blue and Green Day along with National Donate Life Month facts/talking points.

Together, we exceeded our objective of 20 media placements, ultimately securing 59 total pieces of coverage across Colorado and Wyoming for National Donate Life Month, including a front-page story in the Denver Post. Additionally, a total of 55 scarves were distributed for National Blue and Green Day with 14 anchors wearing them on-air and discussing the significance of organ and tissue donation.

We were thrilled to be recognized for this campaign with Donor Alliance last month by the Colorado Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, with a top honor, a Gold Pick.  The awards honor the achievements of individuals and organizations for best practices and high ethical standards in public relations.
